Hypnotherapy uses hypnosis to treat conditions, or change habits.

What happens in a hypnotherapy session?

There are different types of hypnotherapy, and different ways of hypnotising someone.

First, you’ll usually have a chat with your therapist to discuss what you hope to achieve and agree what methods your therapist will use.

After this, the hypnotherapist may:

  • lead you into a deeply relaxed state
  • use your agreed methods to help you towards your goals – for example, suggesting that you don’t want to carry out a certain habit
  • gradually bring you out of the trance
  • You’re fully in control when under hypnosis and don’t have to take on the therapist’s suggestions if you don’t want to.

If necessary, you can bring yourself out of the hypnotic state.

Hypnosis doesn’t work if you don’t want to be hypnotised.

Skype and other video conferencing is way of contact that is used easily and effectively by many therapists and doctors to help their clients anywhere in the world.

Clients can save time by not travelling to appointments or sessions and have the convenience of being in the comfort of their own home. This can be especially useful if anxiety, depression or disability restricts your travel.

What do I need?
A good internet connection, a computer/laptop/tablet or smartphone with a webcam and microphone.

Also a comfortable chair or somewhere to lie down, somewhere quiet where you won’t be disturbed for the length of the session. Remembering to turn off any mobile devices helps avoid distractions too.

What happens next?

To begin with, we will have a FREE initial consultation call where we can talk and discuss your issues, agree a personalised therapy plan and arrange payment. Once we have set up your therapy plan, we can then do our full sessions through Skype or we can create and send you a personalised MP3 recording that you can listen to at your convenience at home.
